HUGE EGG... Will it incubate

You will never know what happens if you don't give it a shot. If the chicks don't make it, then its no use trying to hatch any more giant eggs. But if they do, and you get a giant chicken, it would be the coolest thing ever. Also, ducks don't lay eggs the same color 100% of the time. It MIGHT be a duck egg. A good way to tell would be to run some of it under water. Duck eggs are water proof. However, if it is a chicken egg, this will damage the protective outer layer of the egg and allow bacteria to seep in and destroy the embryo. Its your call in the end on what you decide to do, but i say go for it!

ok I was able to load the video ( must be a sign as I hardly ever get videos to load on my dial up) She did a great job! Though I wish I could say that some of the comments on there shock me, but they dont. The ignorance that some of those people spouted were just sad!

I have become a little more emboldened to try. Thanks for the link! I will also try and get a pic of it up soon. (charging battery atm)

I incubated a double yolker.

unfortunately both embryos died. One died at about day 14 and the other a couple of days later.

The YouTube video does show a very good example of a successful 'twin' hatch, though.
