HUGE egg

Has anyone ever gotten a abnormaly large egg before? I have buff orppingtons and yesterday got a egg that was tripple the normal size. Hubby said not to use it, he wants it as bragging rights to show others. All I can say is "ouch" that must have really really hurt to lay that one. I'm going to weight it to see how much it weighs. It's way bigger than a jumbo egg. What would cause that?

Its fairly common to get enormous eggs. It probably has 2 yolks. I have 28 pullets and get 2-3 of those a week. Eat it and enjoy!
