I've rescued a chick that's in very poor health. The chick seems perky but has develpoed a very large lump next to a scabbed over wound. I belive the wound has come from a cat, so it could be a pasteurella infection (from cat saliva). The lump is very swollen and is bigger than the chicks head and it's breathing sounds mucusy/snotty,
This sounds very strange but the chick smells very fragrant. I strongly suspect the previous owner sprayed perfume all over the chick.
The lump is streching the skin and looks like it's about to pop. Please, if anyone has any advice let me know.
