Huge Nest Box or Smaller

I just finished my coop and the nest is 8 feet long running the length of the coop. I was originally going to break this up into 4 nesting boxes but ran out of material. Can I just leave this as one large nest box or should I use chicken wire to divide them up. I'm finding all my girls like to snuggle together in a corner of the nest box and wondering if it has to do with the size of the box.

It is generally true that regardless of the number of nest boxes you have, they will pick their favorites (and fight over it!). They're funny like that!
