Who said quail are skittish? This gorgeous boy is forever flapping onto my shoulder. He's so soft and warm . He stays put for ages when he's on my shoulder. Quail are amazing birds.

Lucky! Definitely breed that one, and hope the temperament is hereditary. He's also GORGEOUS.

I, meanwhile, have three quail that are actively human-aggressive, because I'm pretty sure the person I got eggs from does zero screening for that. So yes, you have a very special bird, and I hope he gives you many equally lovely babies! <3
