Huh?? What now? UPDATE all's well! :)

We moved ours yesterday, too.

We sectioned off part of the coop. It was actually really easy, as I did not want to ask DH to build anything either! LOL! We used the roosting area that was already in place.

Here's a picture of what we did:

We put the droppings board up as one wall:

About the flying. Mine like to do that to. You will probably have to put something over the top of the plywood to keep them in. Chicken wire or net would be a good solution. I used the net over the brooder and it kept them in just fine. Just make sure that you secure the net if you go that route or they will pull it down. Good luck!

Yep, yep, ditto here, I use the netting over their brooder and I will use it when I put them outside again, as well. Gosh, I wish I knew this was going to be a possibility, I would have prepared. I just expected that, if they knew where the heat was, they'd go under it. Now I know. I'm probably going to keep them inside for the night this week, though.

Nice pics, Penske, that looks great!

I built a little brooder in the coop yesterday and everything worked out great! It doubles as a warming area during the day.

Has a little door that I can keep open all day, so they can go in and warm up if they need to, and then I close them in at night. They must have been plenty warm because when I checked them before bed, they were spread out a little and not all bunched up. I am so glad this worked out, thanks everyone, for the ideas!
