should i put my chicks on medicated feed? i'm only getting 4... but i don't want them to get any sicknesses. also, can i feed them popcorn curnals?

Medicated feed only protects from a single sickness - coccidiosis. Good management in the form of bone dry bedding and keeping sufficient feed in feeders will most likely preclude the need for medicated feed.
For baby chicks, I would stick with chick starter. Popcorn kernels are too big and probably too hard for chicks.
If one feeds things other than chicken feed, it needs to be small enough to work its way through the esophagus. Also, appropriately sized grit needs to be provided.
