I checked my birds at 1:30, picked my son up at 2 and we came home and watched a movie. Went out to check for eggs and when I checked the pen for my blue AMs there were feathers all over. I thought Bon Jovi had found another way out, but I found more feathers at the end of the coop and when I checked the alley behind my house there were two feathers there.

The hens were all in the pen, no one else hurt, but my favorite roo that my husband and I hatched from an egg is gone! I named him after my mom when we thought he was a she. I'm so sick. I checked and there was no way out.

I've been waiting for months for my birds to start laying again and someone hits my breeding pens for my roosters. I'm so mad I'm crying.

He had just got so big and so beautiful and now he's gone. So much for my blue's and I've spent too much money on birds and supplies lately. I thought I was going to be hatching out his chicks soon. My blue pullets haven't even started laying. I'm making myself sick. The BCMs were out in the yard the whole time and they're all fine. He must have been the easiest to catch since he was penned up.

arrrrrrrrrrggggggggg I just want to hit somebody right now. Not easy to track him down in a yard since everyone and they brother owns roos in my neighborhood. I'm so upset

to whoever perpetrated this crime. I am so sorry.

Oh that is so sad. I'm so sorry Bon Jovi was stolen from you. Do you have any suspects? Would you recognize BJ if you saw him in someone else's yard? I'd be on a rampage, that's for sure.

If you found abunch of feathers - wouldn't that indicate a natural predator and not a human?? Do you have photos of him - could you post signs saying' Lost, reward'

maybe he'd come home.

I hope you get him back.

Oh I'd know him. I hold him almost every day. He was such a cute and beautiful chick we carried him around all the time.
This is him a couple of months ago, before the crow. He really filled out and looked manly the past couple of weeks.

I'm going to post on CL I think. Don't know how to offer a reward when I'm so broke right now. I have to pay an auction seller if I win eggs and I can't touch that yet. My neighbors were home, but they were watching TV and didn't see anything, but 2 of the sons came and talked to me. I'm going to be setting up cameras if I can figure out where my husband had them and if I can figure them out. If I find them I WILL figure them out. I'm so upset.
Poor guys next door said they had been talking about buying some chicks from me. Perfect timing huh?

I think they were mostly tail feathers. He never ran, he was the dominate roo. I've had to stop him from jumping the fence at the neighbors dog when he barked at his hens.
I'm hoping someone grabbed him, has him close and he runs home looking for his girls and treats.

Got a response from my CL ad.

Someone had show birds stolen. They said a lot of birds have been stolen in the area lately, so we're both keeping our eyes out.

He's missing a white Cochin and 2 black Aussies.

I've been in and out of the house all day checking pens and looking to see if Bon Jovi shows up.
