I am truly sorry to hear about your loss to a human predator. It's absolutely despicable that a person would steal someone else's bird. I hope your Bon Jovi is found safe and sound!

x2. The feathers laying around may have been the person pulling a few here and there to make you think it was an animal predator so you wouldn't look for him. I hope WHEN you find him, you press every charge possible, including trespassing, theft of LIVESTOCK (bigger offense), etc...
He is a beautiful bird. What kind of a nutcase would troll around stealing other people's chickens? I live in a city, so animal theft (much less chicken-napping) doesn't happen very often around here. I want to have a nice flock of birds when I move, but is human theft common in rural areas?? I was already planning on building a chicken fort-knox for animal predators but do I need to set up security cameras, moats with crocodiles, poison ivy and a pack of dobermans too? Based on what I've read in this forum there are dangers to fowl around every corner, but a human thief is the most despicable. I hope you find out what happened and get your rooster home safe and sound. It sounds like he is very loved.
That's just weird. I've had people come up and want to hunt my domestic broad breasted bronze turkeys, but snatching chickens? That's wrong. was sombody upset about your roo waking them up?
