Isabelle looked at her “River you know we are essentially best friends and you can tell me anything right?” Isabelle said

River paused for a few moments. "It's just, if you hadn't got lost, you would have been in that school. Possibly killed. Anyone could have gotten killed. That boy, his mother didn't even visit him when he was in the hospital. What, does everyone have pathetic mothers now?" She bit her lip. "And is it dark of me to think some sick kid probably started that fire?"

"I'm pretty sure it's common conduct to alert the parents if their child had been in a school fire, started throwing up black fluids, passed out, and then got taken to the hospital. If this town doesn't do that, they're all idiots." River murmured, taking her time to answer Isabelle's other question. What would she have done? Probably threw herself into that fire and die from smoke inhalation and burns trying to find her.
She gave a rueful smile. "Probably have got myself killed."
