Skylar awoke to Millie and Cassie playing horsie again.
Bump. Bump. Bump. *neigh!*
She groaned and clenched her fists.
Bump. Bump. Bump. *neigh!*
She snatched her pillow
Bump. *neigh!* Bump. *neigh!*
She bolted out of bed and stomped down the hall.
Bump. Bump. *neigh!* Bump.
Skylar flung open the door and chucked the pillow at Millie and Cassie.
"Quit that banging and neighing, would you? I'm trying to sleep!"
*neigh?*
Skylar narrowed her eyes. "I mean it, Millie!"
Millie sighed and put Cassie down. "Well its high time you got up anyway. Breakfast is already made. And theres muffins....."
Skylar was wide awake now. Muffins? She thought. It was a tradition in the Windstock household that every second Monday of the month was Muffin Monday. Whoever got downstairs first got the biggest muffin. Jess, Andy, Fern, Jimmy and Albert all sat upright. Skylar raced back to her room, threw on her overalls, and pushed on her boots. She sprinted down the stairs, just ahead of the other Windstock children. Finally! This month the grand muffin would be hers! The children exploded into the kitchen.....

only to find Cassie sitting up to the counter, muffin crumbs all over her face. "Woo said first pewson downstairs!" She pointed out, wiping her messy chubby cheeks with her nightgown sleeve. "And I'm the first one, wite?" She took another giant bite of muffin.

And everyone started to laugh.
"You got the better of us this time, pumpkin!" Laughed Millie.
Skylar snorted, but couldn't help smiling.

Did anyone other than duckboi see this? LOL it took so long that I don't want it to go unread!
