"Hey mom." Jessica called. "What?" Carla answered. "Is it ok if i go to the Windstock's farm?" Jessica asked. "Why would you want to go there?" her mom asked. "I figured that if i go there and one of them doesn't like me another one will." Jessica answered. "You may go if Zane goes with you." her mom said. "I'll go ask him." she knocked on Zane's door. "What do you want?" Zane answered. "My mom said that if you go with me i could go to the Windstock's farm." she said. Zane got out of bed. "I guess i'll go with you." he groaned. They got up and walked to the Windstock's place. @PollyGirl21

Simon grinned at Jess. “I’ll help with whatever you like. What would you like me to do?” He picks up his empty bowl and spoon, walks over to the stove no, rinsed them and puts them on the drying rack. “Where do we start?” He smiles.

Fern gave her rabbit a carrot and patted it's head. She picked up a book, placed Fluffy in the crook of her arm, and started to read. Out her window she suddenly saw two people walking down the driveway.

Jess smiled at Simon. "We start with the chickens!" She said.

Simon glanced in the direction of the coop. “I like chooks, but I don’t know much about them. Can you help me?” He looks a bit embarrassed, wishing he knew what to do.

"easy!" She told him. "We collect eggs, then clean out the next boxes." She gave him a pair of gloves.

Jess rolled up her sleeves, put her hair in a loose ponytail and took off her glasses, revealing big brown eyes. "Hold this" She told him, giving Simon a basket. She stood on a stool and reached into the next boxes. She placed each egg into the basket. Then she took a bucket, piled the old shavings into it, and filled the next boxes with crisp fresh shavings. "Can you take the basket of eggs to the house?" She asked him. "Then you can scatter some scratch." She offered. "The chickens love that." She gave him a small smile.
