Human urine - repellent?

I second that^^. I know guys that pee in deer scrapes. The pee atracts dominant bucks cause hey want to know who's messing in their teritory. I have my coop next to my dog lot and I haven't had any problems yet.

Growing up we had a lot of barnyard "banties" the survivors or the smart ones figured out that roosting in the two trees next to my dad's beagle kennels were the safest trees. Heck, some even roosted on top of the kennel.

The chicken yard is right next to our dog yard. We have four smaller dogs, but they leave plenty of their urine and poop in it. Our one male pees on the fence a lot and sometimes even backs up to the fencing to poop on it. One of the fences that surrounds the chickens is the fence for our dogs. And I caught a possum last week that was next to the dog fence.

I've heard of using human hair and dog hair, but everyone who has tried it said it never worked for them.

Wonder if I can find a smaller radio to set out there and try the radio thing.

I go to bed around 11 and one night in stayed up and saw a Possom and racoon on my deck. Bought trap and caught a different animal each night. Had no idea there were so many animal here. Anyways, i caught a racoon and it was miserable. I went to NYC for a week but forgot to deal with it before I left. It was in that trap the whole week and was still alive. I believe animals came to the property, saw this racoon in the trap in misery, and decided my property is a place to avoid. I haven't had a free range animal die since in over a month. I know this is gonna change, but I can't help but think that trapped racoon was a deterrent. Also, I locked the animals up while I was gone for the week and maybe the predators that visited believed that my place was no longer a place of Buffett...so this could be a reason they haven't returned.

Human urine can be used successfully with canines as long as they have a plentiful food source other than you livestock. The "rules" are this: You mark your hunting territory. You are telling other canines that this is yours not theirs. If you own your own dogs this also lets them know where their pack boundaries are and they won't be as likely to roam unless you have unaltered males and a female comes in heat down the road. Wolves are good at respecting this. Coyotes are a little less respectful and coydogs may not respect it at all. A great deal depends on how tight the food supply is as well as age. An aging canine who is hungry may risk crossing into your hunting ground for easy poaching vs. spending energy that they don't have anymore to chase something wild down. And if there are cubs/pups they may use your livestock to train the puppies how to kill. I lost half of my sheep flock one year to that.

So you have to view it as a deterrent. It is a raise of stakes in a poker game but is not the final play. If you want something that works much more effectively go with electric fencing that is baited with peanut buttered strips of aluminum foil. The predator will lick the aluminum strip which will deliver 100% of the shock value right to a wet mouth. They won't learn that their hair coat can partially protect them from the shock and will think that level of pain will be delivered any time they challenge the fence. It would take a serious drought/famine to get them to try again.

Short answer, no.
Maybe a short term deterrent but sooner later the scent of chickens will over-power their concern about the scent of human urine. They are already willing to come near a space with abundant human odor, a little urine wont stop them.
