My husband is trying to figure out the best method to kill 2 of our geese. He has never processed geese before, only chickens. Can you use kill cones with geese? Any tips?

You may find the broomstick method best for geese unless your husband is adept at neck dislocation.

Cones are used, and you'll need a sharp knife to make the cuts, which I won't advise on as I haven't done it, but the method involves letting the blood drain without severing the head afaik and this causes the goose to lose consciousness.

We use a large turkey cone and sharp knife field dress for legs and breasts. This was my first year doing it this is the best video I found on how to. We were able to do 10 in about 4 hours. I am glad we picked field dressing there pin feathers are incredible. The birds did not suffer. They also did not have to be loaded in crates, Drive for 2 hours to the processor, sit in line waiting for there turn ect.
