*Humidity at 65??? Is that to high!? UPDATE!*

Yes it is.

I offer an article from PP magazine if you send me your e-mail address. It's to big to post it here.

However the run down on humidity is 35% til day 16, then up it to 55% , then again to 65% on day 19 and kept there til chicks hatch. I've used this with my Genesis 1588 and things are good.

I suggest just leaving it where it is and let it decrease on it's own. Which it should in a day or two. DO NOT PANIC.

Hope things are good,

Rancher

I think I sent you my email on my last hatch. It's the rocketmail one. I'll send it again if you need me to.

It will. Especially if you have the vents open.

Hi. If there's no water in the bator, your hygrometer is off. I don't think you get high in your home in the winter in NY. The thing I have done in the past is a tiny dish with a Tbls. of water for 18 days, then fill the tanks, or troughs full for the last 3 with the goal of 70% humidity. I have good hatches with that.

All the vents are open, theres only the little water that fell out wen I took the plastic tray out and Im just waiting and praying that it goes down!

What about us people that live in humis climates? My eggs come tomorrow and I'm a nervous wreck! Temp is spot on but humidity is 60%. Been running it for 2 days. House reads about 70% fyi.
