Humidity Help Please (pics pg. 3)

Im not exactly sure, but if I had to guess ( which i do, lol) id say in the high 90s. Im trying really hard to work it up to 101

Well, i tried to candle a few eggs that I was REALLY uncertain about.
I have only candled a few eggs ever, so I am still new at what to look for. On most I saw the veins , and then most of the egg was occupied except for a small section on one end, and i believe those are good.

But here are some other things I encountered :

Some has spots that were lighter than others in the egg

One has clear sides on both ends and was full in the middle.

One has small dots on the inside that were lighter

and then of course some had pinkish blops that could be seen on the inside.

Are these air holes, and are they bad ( im thinking yes but not sure)

Any pips yet ???? I have never candled duck eggs before so I cant help much there.... So today is day 29 ??

Yep, day 29. Im hoping that they are just going to be delayed. No pips yet
hmm.png

but the temp and humidity is going good. Im just worried about them for when I go to work tomorrow.

Of course! Im trying not to get my hopes up though,just in case I was too late. But when candling I did see veins and they looked pretty Ok...

Ill ost pics of my "incubator as well as soon as I find that silly adapter

Well I finally got a chance to go to the store. I bought a heat lamp, thermometer, and hygrometer. so im hoping that give me and them a better chance. right now:
Temp = around 97
Humidity= around 65

I jut put everything in about 20 minutes ago, so i think its going pretty good. But i am afraid that over half are bad, they are splotchy looking ( i think those are air bubbles) but ill wait and see

Thanks so much!

Well... crapoodles....

temp = 91

Humidity = 50

what is the humidity supposed to be?

relax, your heat hould be 99.5..

Up to about 100.5.. I shoot for 100.

It may fluctuate..just keep it so it does not go over the 100.5.. that temp could be deadly.. If the temp is low, say 96, not to worry..
your eggs will just take longer to hatch..

humidity should be 60% or higher.
for ducks you should shoot for about 80%.. If you have condensation on the glass and the tempisat least up to 99,5, I would not worry about the humidity..

make sure you have a 1" hole for fresh air..

If you do have a bad smell coming from inside the incubator it could be a bad egg.. find it and remove it NOW.. the toxins from that bad egg will kill hatching birds.. might even kill the embryos..

good luck......
