Humidity Help Please!

Honey all you have to do is ask!

1/2 cup salt
1/4 water

mix in a small coffee cup.

Take the hydrometer and the coffee cup and place side by side in a plastic ziploc baggie. Wait 12 hours. It should read 75%. If it doesnt you need to adjust your humidity by whatever it is off. Mine read 58%, so I have to add 17% to what it reads.

ooh! Okay, that sounds easy enough! Thanks so much!!

You are more than welcome! I just recently figured out that was why my hatches were so rotten.

I didn't know duck eggs used such high humidity. I have never hatched ducks. I just had a 100% hatch of Marans chicks with the humidity at 34% for 20 days (because I forgot to put them in lockdown), and 60% the last day.

Duck eggs hatch different than chickens? That's why I love BYC, always educational.
