Hello,

This is my first time Incubating chicken eggs, or any eggs at all for that matter.

I have a concern, as I read the instructions of my Incubator, from what it read, it was that there was a specific amount of water that needed to be added to the Incubator daily (though now I'm assuming this is dependent on factors such as location, relative humidity in the area you live)

I first got the incubator set up with the eggs in properly and such, I then proceeded to add the suggested 275ml - 350ml of water to Channel 1

I have a Hygrometer inside of the Incubator, which was telling me that the Humidity was 80%, whereas the outside one was telling me 49% (Little did I know the Hygrometer that I have outside of my Incubator doesn't measure the Humidity inside of the Incubator but rather the temperature of the inside of the Incubator.

So at this point I was sticking by the reading I had outside of the Incubator(which I placed through the vent hole to give me a reading), and I was happy, as it was averaging 48-50%.

Then I realised that the external reader gives me a reading for the Relative Humidity for the room I've got the incubator in..

So at this point, the Humidity was honestly like 80-88% for a good 8-9 hours I have to say.

I have since fixed the humidity issues, and I'm adding WAY less water than the guide of the Incubator suggested.

Now about 20-21 hours into Incubating, and the humidity is sticking between a good 55-60%.

Now, the question I have is,
What are the chances that this will be a successful hatch? I'm incubating 12 eggs.

Thanks for reading..

TL;DR, Humidity on Day 1 was 80-88% for 9 hours mistakenly, I've now got it to 50-55% & I'm 20-21 hours into Incubating.

Ps. I live in England, you can imagine Humidity is pretty high.
