Humidity question for the incuholics

I would like a larger one capable of incubating 150 - 200 eggs at a time. It would have a brooder built into it also.

Thanks for your post.
You want a Brooder built into your 200 egg incubator? I want the chicks taken out the incubator as soon as they hatch ----less Poop and Cleaning.

Maybe you meant a Hatcher in it instead of brooder.

Just for info, there are alot of people that have a lower humidity area than you will have and they also have a very low hatch percentage. I hatched chicks in the high 90% humidity and had a good hatch % but the chicks would not dry until I open the incubator some.

Just another thought----If "I" was living in a very high humid place and needed to lower the humidity in my incubator---Never tried this but I would put the dehumidifier in a small room and draw air from that room through a dryer hose or big pvc pipe so the temp would have time to cool some before entering the incubator, etc. I feel this would be better than having the dehumidifier and the incubator in the same box/room---that would be simple to set-up.

Ozexpat is a commercial hatcher down that way. He's written about how he has overcome his humidity problem. (Yes, it is too high) You might PM him or research his past posts.

You are correct in saying a hatcher. And your idea and thoughts on a dryer duct hose or pvc pipe is fantastic. I had not thought of that
Thanks

I have sent a PM's to him and will try to meet him some time after I get back and settled in. He is only two ferry rides and a bus ride from me. About a 14 - 16 hour trip.
