I put 2 eggs into lockdown on Saturday night, I'm wondering about the humidity level for them during lockdown/hatch. Right now the humidity is at 75%. This is where it's staying, no matter how much more water I add to it. Is this enough humidity for the chicks to safely make it out of the egg?
Yesterday there were some weird fluxes in the humidity, it dipped to about 60% but I added more water and it slowly readjusted itself. Are my babies going to be shrink wrapped when they pip? I don't see any pips yet, tomorrow is day 21. If this isn't sufficient humidity is there something else I can do to raise it?
Also, this hatch I'm attempting is a staggered hatch, there's 18 other eggs that are only on day 10 in the bator with them, will the increased humidity levels harm the eggs that are still in the early stages of incubation?
Thanks everyone, this is only my second hatch so I'm a little worried.
