I have a batch of eggs in my hovabator 1588 for 5 days now. I just got a hygrometer today and it read 42% after letting it stabilize. I filled the third water chamber and it jumped to 68%. Is this bad? Should I do something immediately or just let it run high until it evaporates. This is the first time I have measured humidity and have no experience to go by. any help would be appreciated.....

68% is too high for 5 day eggs, the 42 would have been fine.

I kept my sportsman at 38-45% until day 18. I had a GREAT hatch! I got 57 out of 67! I would lower it.

Good Luck and God Bless!
