Cardington, Oh
We had a cold snap last night and in our drafty old house my hubby thought it would be a good idea to cover the bator with a towel....this morning I discovered his helping hand and saw that the humidity had spiked to 70%. My turkey eggs are on day 8 and my chicken eggs are on day 2. I hope that he hasn't done them all in!!

They'll be fine

On my first batch of eggs, I didn't get a hygrometer until day 7 and it was almost 80% in there.
Made adjustments after that and 11 out of 12 eggs hatched normally.
I'd be careful though not to block any air vents when covering the incubator, you can suffocate the eggs.

Whew...thank you, thank you, thank you!! This is my first time hatching and I'm a little nervous that I could make a mistake and harm these little guys and gals!!!

This has become more intense than I thought it would be....I'm already really attached to them and they're just eggs!!!
