I purchased a small humidity and temp gauge. I had a question, if my small size bator is full of eggs and there is no place to lie it down to read them (they are backup ones), can I lay them on an egg until hatch day? I figured I don't want to place them on the water cover. Or is it okay to attach them to the side of the bator?

A lot of references tell you not to put the thermometer on the eggs. I put my lightest one on top though until lockdown because if I need to have the thermometer at the top of the eggs, that's the only way I can. The others I stand up on the side between the wall and egg turner.
