Humidity+temp Question

I installed the fan on the hova bator 1602n (5v small fan).

The temp spiked to 110 and now its around 99~100..

Is this okay temp for incubator w/ fan?


Also.

I got the digital thermo/hygrometer from incubator warehouse (i think it was 10$).

The temp is same w/ others (the one that came w/ incubator and the acu-rite one)..

But the humidity NEVER goes down 60...

It's always 60~69...

I did the salt test and it was 71% after 12 hours... so I assume that it is off by 4 %

I took out one red vent..and everything but it won't go down!!!!

What should I do???

The temp is fine.

As for humidity, I don't worry too much about humidity the first 18 days. I usually have mine at 25-35% for the first 18 days and bump it to 60-65% for the rest. If you have water in the tray, you can dump some of it out. It won't hurt the eggs for the temperature to go down for a bit.

I agree with Happy Chooks everything is fine. You could take some of the water out with paper towels or let it just go down naturally to the range you want if you just set the eggs.
