I have a small polystyrene incubator which i recently bought off ebay, i am struggling with the humidity, there was a small medicine type pot sent with it and this is meant to keep the humidity at 30-40% but it didnt. ive got quite a large tub in there and its nearly up to 50% but with not much spare room im worried i cant get the humidity up for hatching any ideas /

Is there a "basin" in the bottom of the incubator - a plastic tray type of thing? If so, fill part of that up with water. If not, put a small dish with a sponge in it, and water of course. It doesn't have to be big. Hope this helps!

You will only need to get the humidity up for the last 3 days, between 65 - 70%. Like the person said before me, a sponge will definately work and also you could use a water bottle and spritz the eggs real well with warm water before you lock down the bator for the last 3 days...Good Luck!
