I locked down my eggs this morning and filled the wells with water and added two small wet sponges. When I checked this afternoon the humidity was still only 55% so I added a small bowl of water and put a sponge in it. The humidity is still only 55%.

Both vents are open and the temps around 101 – depending on which thermometer you want to believe.

What else can I do to get the humidity up? I am in San Diego county CA and it is kind of dry out here..but still with all I‘ve done I expected the humidity to be up to 65-70%.

Any suggestions??? Thank you!

what kind of incubator are you working with?

if it is a Hovabator or Little giant,

run a piece of duct tape along the seam where the top meets the bottom..

be prepared to open the vents afterwards..
