I'm on day 3, using a still air incubator.
My temps are holding perfectly.
Yesterday, my humidity jumped to 70%. Is it possible to have humidity too high?

Thanks! :)
I was worried you'd say that.
Since my temps have been holding so steady, I'm going to open it up for a few to let the moisture out.
I think it's weird that it's spiked that like that. I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep it moist enough.....

i wouldnt worry about it

temps are whats really important. as long as you keep you humidity within about 10-15 percent right you'll be fine. i have had my humidity at 10, and then up to 60

Opening the incubator was a good excuse to try to candle.

Turns out, I have no idea what I'm looking at or for.....

If your humidity is too high then your chicks might drown in their shells. Try to get your humidity between 60% and 70%. Although temperature is the most important factor, you have to also take the humidity into consideration when wanting to hatch successfully!

depends on what your hatching??
My quails are kept below 40 and no water in the incubator all the way through.
But chickens are higher etc
