For chicken eggs, the humidity for the "dry incubating" method should be no less than 25% and no more than 40% for the first 18 days. Than at day 18, raise it to 55-65% and keep it around here until all of the eggs have hatched. This is dry incubating because it uses as little humidity as possible, and has been known to very often work when hatching eggs. It's the method that I use and it works for me and my homemade incubator. You want to do whatever works for you and your incubator.

The other method is to just have the humidity a little higher. If you don't want to try the dry method, then you want the humidity to be around 40-55% for the first 18 days, then raise it to 65%-75% (but no higher than 80%) and keep it around there until all of the eggs have hatched.

Hope this helps and good luck!
