Humidty Help please!

I have a still air incubator with an automatic egg turner and have my humidity around 40-50%, but my question is, i add eggs everyday, not put 20 in at once, like 2 a day. So i cant really increase my humidity on day 18 because the other 30 eggs need it at 40 or so. What is a good humidity that would work for new eggs and eggs on days 20? thanks so much yall

Well you really shouldn't do that because at day 18 you stop turning the eggs and how are you going to stop if you have a turner in there for the other eggs? You should put your eggs in all at the same time.

Do you have something you can move the eggs to that are on day 18? Boy I don't know what to tell you.

my eggs are all dated and the furthest along is at day 12 but i figured i would ask a head of time because im confused to. i spend the extra money for the automatic egg turner to save me the hassel and geese, now its gonna make it hard for me. I just want to incubate all my eggs from these mille fluer cochins incase i miss up an awesome bird, but i guess we cant always have our way. Thanks

It really isn't a good plan to be putting eggs everyday. When you do that none of the eggs end up having the best conditions to incubate and hatch in and you could very well end up with basically none of the eggs hatching. I almost always have eggs with different hatch date incubating in the same incubator, BUT I have 4 incubators and a couple of those I use only for hatching. I also save up groups of eggs for about a week and put them in in groups....not one or two at a time.

The next time you do this you can collect the eggs for up to 8 or 10 days then put them in all at once.

Do you know anyone you can borrow a bator from? That may help.

I hatch Silkies, so it might depend on what breed. But, I use the percentages that Sunshine told me to use and if they were fertile, I have hatched them. So, far on my fertile eggs, I have had 19 out of 19 hatch.

I use 40-50% first 18 days
then increase to 65-73% last 3 days. Mine is at 65% right now, and I have 2 more pipped.

Thanks I will try that next year with my own silkies, wait a minute why are you hatching silkies eggs don't the silkies do it? That's why I got silkies so they will hatch my eggs and I won't need a bator.
