hunched over layer and then dead

When treating with Corrid Amprolium 9.6% Oral Solution , 9 1/2 cc of Corrid per 1 gallon of water. Treat for 5 to 7 days. Try this first. It usually snaps them back in 2 days, hope this helps.

Corrid is good and used for chickens. The bottle has the poultry directions on it. There isn't any egg withdrawal time with it.
This is an anti cocci, not a wormer...you need this! you can use it every few weeks as a preventative in the water and there are also directions for treatment, in case its cocci. If you have a poultry vet extension nearby at a university, by all means contact the vet there and find out if you can get the poo tested or a necropsy on the next bird that dies. Google your state and "poultry extension" or the university and veterinarian and poultry.

get a wormer like Wazine...and also something like wormazole and/or eprinex pour on. I much prefer randall burkey personally. they have all the dosages there in a chart and they have alot of meds. I sometimes use the other sites for one med that they dont have at Randall Burkey (Terramycin eye gel is worth having...it works on any eye injury or infection on any animal pretty much) But I usually end up back at randall burkey. If you put the code "whisper" in the code box on the order page you should get 10% off. If you don't see it noted on the final sheet, send them an email and ask for it. That is the chicken whisperer's code.
eprinex states that it is for cattle but you can use it for chickens. That also has no withdrawal time. You drip it on to the back of the neck or under the wing of the bird and the dosage varies by the size of the bird. You want to use wazine first in the water to get some of the worms. Then a week later use the eprinex, then a week later use wormazole to get the rest. dont use them all at once and use wazine first. I have only once done all 3...I have done the wazine and eprinex twice, and once I used wormazole...thats stronger. They all kill different worms.
give them yogurt or probiotics and vitamins like aviacharge and some oils like kickin chicken.

DE is not a wormer, no matter what anyone says. There is some anecdotal evidence that it prevents worms if you put it in the food at 2-3 cups per 50# of feed, but it will not get rid of them if you have them.
DE is good to sprinkle around the nest boxes and where they dustbath as mite control, but you really need some poultry dust for mites. Get real sevin dust or something like it...Adams mite spray is supposedly good....just to be sure. I am looking at those mite wing tags because I suddenly had mites and it was pretty horrible...tho they disappeared quickly when I dusted the birds. Its just that the dust is messy and you should wear a mask and gloves. You can put it in a plastic bag and put the birds bodies in and hold the bag around the neck and shake it, like shake n bake! Its not an easy process, so once its done, you'll find that a little protective sprinkle or spray of mite stuff around the vent is a good idea.

This is just the basic minimum, that you need to try to cover the bases. People tend to worm regularly during the molt when laying slows down. not everyone does it, but by the time you see a worm they have alot and its effecting them badly.
If you want to try to keep them healthy with natural stuff, do it after you clean them out.
Thn feed them green pumpkin seeds (unsalted) regularly and DE in the food and dustbaths....and there are tons of other remedies and preventatives here....I did all that and my birds got sick. Mine free range and there is not way to stop them from getting into stuff. earthworms carry parasites....there is cocci everywhere....so its good to just keep a basic schedule of upkeep....

good luck!
