They don't let people hunt wood ducks where I live, maybe they do on youth day. But, it's not on the California F&G's list of legal waterfowl this year.

And yes there are plenty of hunting photos on this sight. If you don't approve then don't look. I happen to approve. This young man is very proud and rightfully so!!!!

I saw the word hunting and was curious as it really is unusual to post hunting photos in the duck forum from what I've seen since I've been perusing the site since earlier this year.

And, at first, I wasn't 100% sure the duck was dead, especially after seeing one of the comments and no description with the photo (I thought, maybe, it meant hunting for a new pet duck). I'm not upset that it was posted here or anything as this is a duck forum and people have different uses and interactions with ducks and I would assume hunting was one of those types of interactions people have.

Not saying I liked what happened with the duck, just saying that I was not really surprised that it was posted here.

For crying out loud, the boy shot a wild duck. That's a pretty great accomplishment, those things are hard to hit. Kuddos to him and anybody that has a problem don't look. He was just trying to share his excitement.
