hunting

Well, after not spotting a single deer all rifle season (except the ones in forestry-protected, and the eighter we saw along the road at night), I now have six of those brats in the field by the house, bedded down in the middle. Boy, would I love to have had one of them in my freezer!

Is your season over? So far DH got a nice 9 pt buck and I have a nice 8 pt and a doe, and one backyard buck too, and 3 deer given to us . The season ends Jan1st for us here in South Carolina.

We didn't see a single deer all gun season either, and I don't have a bow. They prance around all night behind my house though!!

I have a bow, but pretty much everything is closed except I think flintlock. :/ I believe there's a late archery season, but in all honesty, I can't really shoot anything here, even if it comes to my door step and asks me to shoot it, since we're on prison grounds and there's no shooting here. I was hunting my brother's lands for rifle, and didn't see a darned thing. It used to be fields but his grounds were purchased last year and he's working on his house, not the lands, and the fields surrounding him are all up for sale and nobody has been farming them, so there's really nothing to draw the deer there anymore. In spring, we were talking about putting in a small food plot for them though.
