Huricanes, twisters, tornadoes! OH MY!

I only have 4 but currently I also have a cat a dog and a foster dog too
Dog crates are the way to go. Get some poor quality large ones. I've seen some that say 'this is advertised for big dogs but my dog busted right out of it!' those are the ones you want. They are cheaper and your chickens are not going to bust out of them.

Does anyone drive their chickens to another farm that is out of the hurricane's path? If you put them in your car in a crate and keep them there where do you put them if you have to stay somewhere overnight, wouldn't that be stressful to keep them in the car for hours?

I know some people bring the chickens into the house when they choose not to evacuate.
I'm not sure about using another farm, I personally have trust issues so I wouldn't necessarily trust someone else with my animals.

I have serious trust issues with my fur and feather babies too, that would be one of my biggest challenges. But if I had to, I would find a home that had pet chickens that got spoiled and actually drive their before hand to check it out and to make sure it is as safe as possible. I also go way overboard with my girl's safety!

I completely get it! I would also ask them what their plans are for this situation if they also were hit by the hurricane. They may not be able to take everyone.
