Today I was extremely thankful that I hired people to build a very sturdy coop, with hurricane Ian coming through it actually didn't hit my area that bad, only about 40mph winds, but somehow light rain and winds managed to knock MASSIVE tree directly over my coop and run and the back of my house. Looks like I will have to do some run repairs but the coop held up perfectly and is holding up the tree, luckily I locked up the ducks even though the weather wasn't too bad just RI be safe, and they are all safe and doing well. Cleaning this up will be a chore, but I'm very thankful my babies are okay.

Glad your ducks are safe
I left two ducks in my coop [took three off in dogcrates] and my greatest worry was branches or a tree coming down on my coop. Fortunately, the winds were gusting to 40MPH only by the time the storm got to St Johns County, and while the flooding is awful in some places my home is on somwhat elevated land and has never flooded.
My son's ducks remained in their coop as he doesn;t bring them into his house even in hurricanes, They also lived to tell the tale with just exta rain drumming down on them overnight and today.

I worry for ducks and back yard chickens around Naples and nearby places on the gulf coast
