I just moved to Louisiana from Oklahoma about three years ago- what a great way to put this storm in perspective! My family still in Oklahoma is so worried.

That's more than any one place in Texas gets in a typical year. Now they're predicting 40+ inches for a large swath of Texas. The closest I've seen to anything like that was 10" in 24 hours in California. The entire town was under 10+ feet of water. I can't image what 40"+ would do to even the most prepared area. May someone, something, anything watch after these people, they're going to need it.

We are definitely getting lots of rain it started in Conroe around 6am and has not stopped, last I checked we have 4inches at my place. I am so glad I put all the chickens in the coop. Water from our pond is already up to their run. I am sure they are not too happy about not getting out but they will have to get over it!
