Wishing you all the best.
We had to go 6 days with out power. Luckily we have a home made incubator and hatcher that run of 12vdc so we have a lot more options.
We also knew that we would be of grid for a while so we prepped to be able to keep the incubator and hatcher running for at least 24hrs with no power just in case we couldn't run a generator (boat battery).
The incubator and hatcher are made from wine coolers so they tend to hold the temp and once the house got up to 90 degrees inside the peltiers really didn't have to work that hard. The ups unit that normally lasts about 1 hour started to last 3+ hours.
The only thing we forgot to plan for was the need for a hospital for the budgie and tiel chicks so the chickens had to hatch in the incubator and the budgie chicks got to stay in the hatcher that was set to a lower temp. By day 5 the living room was 93 during the day so we didn't need the hatcher to run and the chicks could be brooded with nothing more than a small battery light.
we got lucky and lost no chicks but we did loss 3 smaller chickens. I believe that they were knocked of the roasts during the night by larger chickens and got cold in the flood water. Unfortunately with flood water and no outside lighting there was always going to be a risk of loosing some.
