Hurricane strength winds in Bay Area, are my chickens safe???

I have three eight months old hens sleeping in a solid home built wood house. However we are getting such severe storm warnings that I am seriously considering making a next for them in my house. Am I crazy??

They should be fine, unless the coop has a window on the windward side. If it does, it would be vulnerable to flying debris, and you might want to board it up.

Other than that, your chickens will not even be aware there's a storm going on outside.
