Hurt beyond words

I do that at times as well...being introverted. But I am very outgoing in my profession and my "friends" consist of my coworkers...only because we all work together so much. Tired of being lonely in a room full of people....

I have had one of my BFF that left our friendship for a misunderstanding on her side, but I am okay with it. She'll come around to her senses again.

I guess we're all friends here right? We might not be able to help you in person, but we are to cheer you up

I know what you mean. I can't really relate, as I never call anyone if I'm upset. People just never can make you feel as good as an animal can when you're hurting imo. I'm also the person they all call when they are in deep poo poo... But I really don't mind because I think that's the nature of most human beings.

It seems though that as time passes people are losing the ability to see the importance of friendship, kindness etc...the human race just seems to be getting ruder by the moment.

With that said, I am optimistic that kindness does exist, manners are well and thriving and many people still care a heck of a lot more than we give them credit for. The issue is that we surround ourselves with these false friends who seem fine and dandy, who are caring and willing to listen to our stories, whether they are funny or not, long or short, spend a minute having coffee, but its only while they need something and when they no longer need us, its like we never even knew them to begin with.

Sadly I know all too well where you are coming from, having gone through a few flaky fake friends within the last year.

I hope all gets better for you real soon. For the ones that wronged you, stick them on the back burner and when they come looking for someone to help them, say NO.
