Hurt Chick..what to do

Ok so I just got my second batch of Chicks. I have two that are a couple of weeks old and 4 that are only 4 days old. I took them out yesterday to play in the grass and after we were out for about an hour my husband let the dogs out (he forgot I was out there with the chicks) Well they didn't seem to mind they and just sniffed and went away. He put one back in the house the other would not listen to him and like an idot I left her out because she wasnt paying any mind to the chicks. Well I was talking to my neighbor and the dog pawed the chick I dont think she meant to her her but she fell over to her side and didn't move. I picked her up and then put the others away to make sure them would not get hurt next. She kept falling over for the first few minutes then she couls actually walk but ever since she has been very sluggish always sleeping. This morning she was the only chick still sleeping and when I pick her up she perks up for a moment then just closes her eyes again. I don't thnk she has eaten or had any water since. I also noticed that some of the chicks were pecking lightly at her...not sure if it's to get her to move or if they are picking on the waek. In any case I moved her to be alone gave her a teddy bear, food , water and some egg. What can I do for her? My husband says that if she is in pain we should do the humane thing but I'm just not sure she is suffering and I can't kill a baby chick without knowing that it HAS to be done...will she be ok, do chciks in distress make noise? I'm just going to baby her and see what happenes any help would be most appreciative.

You can isolate the chick in a kleenex box within the brooder to keep it from being pecked at. (make sure food and water is available) Give it some sugar water and see if it will eat a bit of scrambled egg or cooked oatmeal. Watch and wait - if it doesn't improve, you can put it down if it's needed.

A dog attacked one of our chicks it did the same thing that your chick did it lasted two days just hold it close to you and love it you may have to do wat you have to do

I would give her some time to recover before putting her down, my dog beat up one of my light brahma chicks that was Free ranging and 11 weeks old at the time. I thought it was dead, but i saw slight breathing. I picked her up, well actually I dragged it by it's tail feathers for a second because I thought it was dead, and then I picked her up and took her to the deck. She wouldn't stand. She had a little blood on her head and under her wing. She attempted to stand so I released she wasn't a goner. I put her back into her own brooder and i had to leave, she was in the for like 6 hrs. so I pit her back with the flock, she was a bit slow, but did recover. So give the chick a chance to recover.

I will try and feed it some sugar water egg and such...just have to waut and see if she'll be ok. Is there anyway u can tell if she is in any pain? There are no visible signs of any kind she looks perfect. I'm not even sure how badlt the dog got her but I know that she was just playing and not trying to hurt the little chick. I think she hit her with her paw and she is a 92 pound dog. I feel aweful I wasn't paying as much attention as I should have been. for now on they r only going in my fenced garden the dogs have a wireless fence and cannot get that far in my yard.

Update on little chick...I gave her some sugar water a few times. I had to dip beak in and she drank it. but she keeps opening her mouth kind of wide after and makes sort of like a swallowing motion or like she's trying to chirp but she can't?? Anyone have any idea what this could be? Her tummy seems to move fast while she is doing this as well. Then she just closes her eyes and lays down again. Although she was standing for a few minutes after I put her back down.
