The past few days I have heard a weird squabble or cry from one of my chickens... when I go out there everything is fine and I cannot pin point who it is. Could this be my little rooster trying to crow????

They can sound pretty pitiful when they first start trying to crow, so I bet you are right.

Yeah...when my 2nd roo tried crowing the first few times, it sounded like someone had cut his throat! Didn't take long till he got it right though...if only there was a way to stop him & the neighbor's roo from having their daily crowing contest!

Mine sounds like a goose with a kazoo stuck in his throat....I really hope he gets better at it. The other roos don't even crow back it is so bad...they just kinda growl and look away.

Oh yeah! When they first try to crow, it can be very pitiful sounding! Kind of a ridiculous squeaky sound.
