Hurt duckling

So. I looked at that article and the symptoms match. The only problem is when we tried, nothing moved. She isn't in any pain. We tried doing what the articles suggested and it wouldn't move. Is it is this and we cannot treat it, could she heal on her own? No vet's in our area deal with ducks. I just don't want her life to be cut short. Any other suggestions? Also, another concern, is her leg is cold to the touch. Could that mean insufficient blood flow?

Usually there is swelling with slipped tendon. Can she put weight on her leg? what all have you done to help? have you been soaking and or using Epsom salt wraps? massage?

If it is a slipped tendon it won't heal on its own. Tendons are stretchy and hold things in place. In a slipped tendon, the tendon stops being stretched and shortens. It takes time for it to gain that stretch again. In a fast growing animal like a duck, it can become nearly impossible to stretch back in place of not dealt with quickly while the duck is growing. However if you cannot feel the tendon rolling on the side of the hock joint, it may not be it. It will either be on the inside or outside if it is a slipped tendon. The joint would also have some tension as you try to straighten the leg.

Is the leg colder than the other leg or just as cold? Duck legs are not normally warm. If you notice a temperature difference between the two legs, that could indicate what is going on. Is there any coloration difference?

Pictures of the leg from different points of view and a video would help see what is fully going on. In case you don't know, you will need to up load the video else where like you tube, Vimeo or such, and then share the video here.

We've let her soak, wrapped the leg to keep it straight. She can put weight on it. We've tried massaging but nothing helps.

So... sorry I disappeared. My life got very busy and I forgot to keep checking. She walking so much better! We put a cast on her leg to make it grow out straight and we flattened her foot. We gave her some physical therapy and she's almost back to normal. Thanks for the help!
