Hello everyone so I have ducks in the brooder right now and there 2 weeks well I have them in a room were my dog can get them well shes a tiny shih tzu well she loves being a mother to everything well she got in the room and grabbed the duck up with her mouth well none of them have bite marks and there all okay expect one which is a khaki Campbell he is just laying down and when he does walk he looks like he has a limp but he has no bite marks so I don’t know what is wrong with him help.:(

On top of everything @Miss Lydia said, also check specifically for a slipped tendon. It will feel like a string on either the side of hock joint. The joint is usually swollen and duck will have trouble time fully extending the leg. I doubt that is the issue, but just in case, since this issue has to be corrected ASAP in ducklings.

She may have dropped him and caused an injury check the injured leg to the other one for anything out of place. Gently feel up and down including the hips and feet. Are you giving your duckling and supplemental
Niacin ?
He’s okay he is walking on it it must have devastated him but now he is okay thank god :)
