God has placed me in Virginia.
We have a gander that is under 1 year old and seems to have a hole in his beak.
There is blood coming out.
We tried to put some blood stopper on him but to no avail.
In the pen with him is 1 goose and 29 hens and a Roo.

Any help will be much appreciated:)

It is not all the way through his beak.
There was blood coming out earlier.
We have not been down there in a while because every time we go down there then he rams his beak into the wire which we think is how he got hurt in the first place!
The blood stopper was Quick blood stopper antiseptic styptic powder by Four Paws but he would not let us put it on:(
And it is on the top of his beak.

Hope this helps you to help us figure out what is wrong.

YOu need to keep hard pressure on the beak until it stops bleeding..put a glob of the quick stop and put pressure on the beak,,it can take awhile for it to stop bleeding.

Yes, you need to get the bleeding to stop.. Catch him and wrap a towel around his head like a blindfold and he should relax. Then do what redhen said. Put him in a bathroom or something in a box to let him rest with the lights off. Then in the morning see how it looks.
Remember, the beak is very sensitive - it has a layer of blood vessels and nerves and it is basically their fingers.. So this is important! Geese use their beaks to explore the world.
My guess is he probably scraped it on the fence as you said.. What kind of fence do you have?

My goose hurt the top of his nose on something, and it was bleeding a LOT, it was the skin near his nostril, kind of peeled up... I applied pressure as long as I could, and then put some antibiotic ointment on it, and let it heal... it ended up that the peeled part dried up and fell off. GROSS... but he's fine now... tough ol' bird.
