She seems much better. She is up and alert. Her eye(actually her right eye my left looking at her) is still not open. It's raining here so I have left her in the house.

If at all possible, gently bathe around her affected eye with some warm water, just in case it has become crusty. Fingers crossed she hasn't lost an eye.

I washed around her eye real well and put some ointment around her eye and on her comb and wattles. It wasn't long after that she had her eye open and it all seem good.

The rooster has a new home. I told the person I thought the rooster had been alittle too rough with my hen and he looked at Lucy and said yes that he was 99% sure it was the rooster. He said the rooster wasn't very old and sometimes have troubles in the beginning. I told him I had no intentions of hatching just had wanted the eggs and the rooster was a rescue.

I put Lucy back out with the flock since she seems better and seemed frustrated being away from them(she is the flock leader). I will continue to watch her and doctor her wounds till they heal.
