Hurt leg on rooster

    My cousin has a rooster with a hurt leg. Said it started Wednesday and has not improved at all. Going to try to post a video of it so you can see the problem

    Looks like it is in the hip joint not in the leg.

    Did he fly down from roost and possibly injure it?

    Give him a few days and see if he recovers on his own.

    He looks like a big heavy fella and could have landed wrong...

    That's what we are thinking happened. He is separated now so hopefully he wont have to walk on it as much for a few days to see if it will heal better. thanks for the help and any more is appreciated. is there anything he can do to help it heal better/faster?

    Just keeping him separate so he doesn't get picked on is a good idea. I have given my chickens a baby aspirin to help with pain and swelling. good luck..
