Today I accidentally shut the coop door as one of our baby chicks was trying to get out. I caught her little neck and the minute I saw her I opened it. She seemed fine at first, but then she was kinda just layin down to one side and when she got up she was favoring 1 leg. I cute her in a separate cage for the day so we could keep an eye on her and she’s seems to be doing a bit better. She’s using both legs but as a small limp, but what’s concerning is it looks as if her crop is inflamed or quite larger than the others and it’s on the same side that she’s limping on. I just checked on her again and watched her drink water but I also tried to check the cage I had her in and it doesn’t look as if she ever pooped. I’m worried cuz she’s back in with her sisters and Momma and I just don’t want to lose her. Any advice or suggestions would be fabulous.

Just keep watching her. Hopefully it will be fine.
Thank you. I try not to worry too much but it’s the Momma in me. The swelling is all the way down this morning, but she’s still just laying around. She kinda acts like her wing is broke or hurt but there’s no visible damage

Her crop was probably just really full, and it emptied overnight.
There could be internal injuries that are not apparent, they could be mild or severe, all you can do is wait and hope.
Is she eating/drinking/pooping?
