Hi everyone! I really would love some guidance! My pullet is being brutally attacked by my two red sex links about 5-7 times a day. She just sits submissively half the time while they rip her feathers out and she screams out in pain. She has a tad bit of blood and two scabs and no feathers all on the back on her head and cheek area. I cleaned it with
neosporin cleaner and the put that blue hen healer stuff on it but that seemed to make her even more of a target as well as unconfortable since she wouldn’t stop scratching at it and the others were intrigued by the blue color. Should I separate her- is it bad that she would be alone in the house? I ordered pin-less peepers and vetrolin spray on Amazon for the mean ones- should I leave her in the flock and put peepers on when they come in the mail? Is this a good solution? If I seperate her should I wait to put the peepers on the mean ones until reintroduction? If seperation is recommended how long do I seperate? Please help me- this pullet is my little baby and my only slightly handicapped bird! Pictures attached.
Edit to add: the other hens will attack her too just not as bad as the two red sex links

I would separate her until she heals, and keep applying Neosporin a couple of times a day. (Does she maybe need her beak trimmed a tiny bit?) That gives you time to get the pinless peepers. Then give the bullies a time out! Put your girl back in, at the same time you take one or both of them out.

I don't like Pinless peepers. They go in the chicken nostrils and seem very inhumane to me. They can hurt the chicken very and if put in incorrectly. I don't like the sounds of them at all. You can separate the bully in a no see area for a few days to bump them down on the pecking order. She isn't injured too bad and will heal quickly, sweet lady! How much space do you birds have, and how many birds in the space? What do you feed, and how much protein in it? Lack of protein, over crowing, and boredom can all cause feather plucking. Hope we can find the cause!

Separate her were she can still see but not touch the other birds. If you take her away so she can't see them, they will only be meaner when you reintroduce because she will be lower on the pecking order. Continue to use Neosporin, and she will heal just fine. No blood is good this is just a little scrape for a chicken. Hope she gets better soon!

I will bring her in the house tomorrow! I don’t have a place to seperate her where everyone else can still see her so she has to come in the house. As for the beak- I’m really scared to try trimming it! I’ve never done it before and don’t want to hurt her! I’m thinking when I reintroduce her to the flock I will bring the two bullies inside for a day or two and then reintroduce them with the peepers on. I hope this will reset the problem...

If they can't see her then she will only get bullied more when you bring her back in. If you take her away, then they will forget about her, and she will end up at the bottom of the pecking order again. Do you have a dog kennel or crate you could put her in? A baby or dog gate you can use to block a corner off for her?

For the beak, you can use a pare of dog finger nail clippers, or be very careful with people finger nail clippers. Only clip a little bit, and then do the rest with a file. Take the bullies in the house for a few days, and then put them back out BEFORE using the peepers. Only use peepers as a loss report. There are many more things you can try before using these.

I agree and don’t want to have to use the peepers but I want to have them on hand as a last resort. I will measure the square footage tomorrow but I think it’s around 208 square feet. It is one 9X12 area and then a tunnel running off of it that leads to a smaller section of run. The coop is elevated in the area too but I’m currently making a bigger coop that will add square footage and it will be 9X6. It should be done doing build in about two weeks. I have 7 birds. Two red sex links, two black copper marans, and 3 Easter eggers. The three Easter eggers are two weeks younger then the other four. I am thinking perhaps when I seperate the mean girls I wait to introduce them until I switch everyone to the new coop that way they will be even more thrown off with a new home too?
