I have a 10 week old pullet that had a fence fall on her. Now she cannot walk, so I am guessing that one or both legs are broken.

Any solutions to this, or does she have to be put down?

ggrap, do you have a quiet, warm place to keep her until you determine her condition? A dog kennel or cage in the house or garage, where you can lay her on a blanket or towel and provide softened food and water?

I agree with debi, first determine whether the legs are indeed broken.

Thanks. I don't know how long she can be temporarily stunned, but it has been almost 24 hrs. She is back in the house in a box. She will eat, but can not move herself. She just lays there.

Give her time, she may be shell-shocked still. Can you see her legs, see if anything is going at a weird angle? Can she move her legs? She may also have a back injury, but I'd give her several days and then reassess.

Could be her back for sure. She is not moving her legs that I have seen, and I have to keep moving her because she is laying in her own poop.

If I stand her up like normal, she likes that, and will start eating.

I don't want to cull her, she is sweet and her comb is just starting to turn red. So, she might be an early layer.

She does keep one leg laying out to the side, they are both kind of floppy, but not at a weird angle.
