Hurt toe

My 4 week old barred rock hurt her foot she was kinda of sitting down last night but I didn't really think about I picked her up today and her toe and part of her nail are bloody at the tip she still walks around and eats but she acts like she is pain she will sit down and kinda scoot to move and she sits all the time she likes to sit close to the heat lamp she has a litte friend who sits with her but I am worried she is usaully very lively but so slow today she is my best flyer it might have gotten hurt when she landed or something. Help I don't know how to help her and I think her nail might come off!

Is the toenail torn partway off? If so, the best thing would be to clip it the rest of the way. If the nail is torn, every time she walks, it gets bumped...that smarts! Here is what I would do...dont know if it right...I would take her to the sink, and wash the foot really well under warm water. make sure its clean! Dont want bacteria getting in the wound. then, if the toenail can be clipped back a bit, I would. Now, get some neosporin,dab it on the toe...and try to get a small bandaid over it...just for a day or so. She should be fine. Might have to keep her seperate for a few days tho, to keep the others from pecking it. Maybe put her litle friend in there with her for company. Just watch that there is no picking.

She seems to walk around but that worries me because I don't wan't any further damage and the other chickens are pecking it

I would get her to a seperate brooder...or pen. And try to wrap it. At least get some Blue Kote on it. That helps stop the pecking. Good luck with her...hope she is ok soon!
