My ducks Mr & Mrs and the spare were out playing this morning. Then all of a sudden Mr. Duck was gone. I searched all over the place. So Mrs Duck I'm 100% sure had a tear in her eye.
then 20 mins later Mrs Duck is gone. Left the spare high and dry. I've just come back from searching the neighbourhood. No sign of her.

The spare is now in the duck house squaking.

Do you think Mrs Duck has gone looking for her husband?

will she come back do you think.

I think maybe a sly fox came by. They were never two feet away from each other.

The kids are asleep.

I'm dreading the day before me

You have any bodies of water nearby they may have wandered off to? I would imagine a fox would leave a bit of a mess behind if he nabbed one duck, much less two. Maybe something they could get stuck behind / under?

It's really weird that they would just vanish without a trace. Have you looked for clues?

No sign. I walked everywhere, then got in the car. The spare duck is going bananna's.

Yes they can fly, but Mr Duck has never been 5 feet away from his wife.Still no sign

Mrs Duck came back. Still no sign of her husband. Could a Hawk have swooped down and taken him. The ducks are small they are Call Ducks

Mrs Duck is now here, but her husband is still missing. I went up to an neighbours big pond this morning. no signs there.
Just thinking maybe a Hawk came down
Miserable day so far. it's so quiet. when Mrs Duck came back the calling out of her was so sad. She gone quiet now and is with the spare male duck. Her eggs are all here , but i don't think we will get any ducklings as she is not sitting on them. she hasn't since she started laying

I had two mallards and this happened to me several times. Once during a thunderstorm one of the mallards disappeared and I went nuts. i looked all over for him and got soaking wet. i must have checked like seven times that night, and when i woke up he was swimming with his buddy like nothing had happened. He did that another time also, just be patient I know its hard.
